Suitable for a wide range of uses, from three-season walking in the UK right through to trekking in the hottest conditions, our Trailblazers Convertibles are the most comfortable outdoor trousers in our range.

They’re made from an advanced fusion of tough polyamide and stretchy elastane to offer an unbeatable combination of completely unrestricted freedom of movement and great long-term durability.

And, because the fabric is so tightly woven, it offers total protection from the harmful effects of UV radiation and decent wind protection – with a reasonably low weight and impressive levels of abrasion resistance.

The fabric has been treated with our Dynamic Moisture Control™ finish for super-efficient wicking and improved comfort in hot and humid conditions or during periods of high activity. We’ve also added our Biteguard™ treatment which repels blood-sucking, disease-carrying insects and inhibits the growth of fungal moulds. Although not completely permanent, this advanced process will maintain its initial level of performance for at least 50 washes – outstanding durability, by any standards.

When the heat is really on, the legs can be quickly and easily zipped off – just above the knee – to form an equally functional pair of walking shorts. And, if you’re the sort of person who struggled to solve Rubik’s Cube, you’ll find that the colour-coded system of zips makes re-attachment of the legs a breeze.

The cargo pockets on the leg are neatly inset to offer secure, handy storage – without an obviously ‘military’ look. Both hand pockets are zipped and there’s a final zipped pocket on the hip. In short, plenty of space for outdoor, travel or everyday essentials.

The tough webbing belt is lightweight, quick drying and low bulk. It fastens with a robust, quick-release buckle. It’s held securely in place with a solid popper but is detachable for washing. Needless to say, our Trailblazers are easy to wash – in the machine or in a stream – and will comfortably dry overnight, ready to hit the trail again the next morning.
